The syntropic effective microorganisms in the Bokashi rice brand are some marvelous little critters. They break down all my food stuffs into viable soil rich in organic matter, we all are looking for that high hummus soil are we not? Hey and while you are at it throw in a bit of rock powders and supercharge your compost with minerals! Thank you Dr. Teruo Higa for your wonderful gift you have given to the world.

Rice Bran EM-1 is amazing October 1, 2017
Reviewer: Abby Schlaff from Ann Arbor, MI United States
Makes it possible to compost in an apartment.  Every few months I take buckets of compost to a friend with a big garden and there is never any mold even though the buckets have been sitting at room temperature.

Have Loved This Product for Years August 23, 2017
Reviewer: Charlotte Phillips from Cameron, MO United States
I've used Bokashi in my kitchen and outdoor composters for 9 years now, but this year I discovered a NEW use for this wonderful product.  Had a weedy bed I wanted to turn into a bee & butterfly garden.  Spread ashes from last year's fall burn pile, compost remains after sifting for my spring needs, and one 5# bag of Bokashi.  Covered it with black landscape cloth and left it for a month.  When I pulled the cloth back in mid-June, I had THE most beautiful soil to work with and all the weeds, except the dandelions, had turned to dirt!  Yea!  We're re-landscaping the front of our house and have spread 10# of Bokashi as a soil conditioner.
