Apply Activated EM•1® (AEM•1®) at the rate of 1 gallon per acre once per week year round through irrigation systems.

Tips for a success with AEM•1®

  1. For greens, apply the AEM•1® with a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer and dilute one ounce per gallon of water (1:128).  For fairways, inject AEM•1® into the irrigation system at a rate of 1 gallon per acre per week for a total of 40 gallons per acre per year.  It is best to apply AEM•1® once a week for maintaining optimal turf quality and health.
  2. EM•1® does not provide many plant nutrients.  Therefore fertilizers are needed. If using liquid fertlizers, AEM•1® can be added after fertilizers are diluted with water.
  3. Use a "mulching mower" to chop and redeposit the grass clipping. Spray EM•1® onto the turf after mowing. This enables the clippings to rapidly breakdown into stable organic matter for the soil. Organic matter particles provides a home for EM•1® to establish in the soil.
