Keep an eye on upcoming changes in USDA NOP rules

lthough not policy yet, the new standards are going to include hops (how could beer be organic if the hops weren't is beyond me), the yeast (how could you categorize an animal as organic???) aThe USDA has been working on several new items, including regulations for certified organic beer. And a new definition of nanotechnology that determines "nano" anything as synthetic.
If you are a producer or grower, keep an eye on the changes and remember that EM-1 Microbial Inocualnt and Waste Treatment can be used in the growing without restrictions and in the processing (washing floors, making bokashi, out of the spent grains, making compost etc.).
