EM®. is the brand name given to a family of microbial-based products using a technology developed by Japanese scientist Dr. Teruo Higa. Since the beginning of Dr. Higa life, agriculture and science have always been major influence in all of his life choices. When growing up and working on the farm in Japan, Dr. Higa became ill because of the high chemical use in the fields. He wanted to find a better and more sustainable option, better for the environment.
The main product, EM-1®, is a liquid bacterial product comprising of three groups of beneficial microbes: Yeast, Photosynthetic Bacteria, and Lactic Acid Bacteria.
