HOW DOES TERAKASHI®BOKASHI BENEFIT SOIL?
TeraKashi® Bokashi is full of beneficial microorganisms from being fermented with EM-1®. The combination of nutrients (NPK), organic material (rice bran), and beneficial microorganisms (EM-1®) aids in the soil food web in the soil and increases the native beneficial microorganisms.
When added to your soil, the microbes breakdown organic material and mineralize nutrients into plant available forms. Unlike EM-1® the rice bran provides nutrients to the beneficial microbes causing a growth of beneficial fungi called mycelium. Mycelium is very beneficial to soil and plants, so don't worry when you see the fuzzy white coating on the soil surface.
Terakashi® Bokashi can help create a strong base for any garden or agriculture application, and with continued use will improve the quality and yields in the garden. Adding TeraKashi® to your composting pile can be a great addition, however here are some additional benefits when you put it directly on the soil.
