Improving Life using Effective Microorganisms®
Improving Life using Effective Microorganisms®
Ag1000® can be used on all field crops such as; field tomatoes, vegetables, melons, potatoes, and soybeans among others. Ag1000® is a ready-to-use soil conditioner, comprised of Effective Microorganisms. Ag1000® increases nutrient cycling in your soil and helps improve drainage, aeration, moisture retention and soil structure. Overall this decreases fertilizer requirements while improving yield.
Because Ag1000® contains live microbials it also improves water permeability. The bugs go to work in the soil, increasing beneficial microorganisms and other organisms, this creates more pores for water and air. The increased permeability can decrease your water usage.
Ag1000® was applied to Jalapeno "Dulce" transplanted into winter ryegrass cover crop. 40 gallons per acre was applied throughout the growing season along with 16-8-4 fertilizer. No herbicides or pesticides were used in this trial.
The area struggles with very high salts in the soil from a large calcium deposit a few feet from the surface. Powdery mildew, phytopthora, and organic matter are also a common ailment for peppers.
Results were very positive in treated fields with yields 24% higher and organic matter increasing from 2.9% to 4%. Not shown here, nutrient availability was also increased when tissue samples were tested. Treated had significantly more nitrogen and phosphorus, indicating an increase in nutrient uptake.

Ag1000® was applied to sweet potato fields at 30 gallons of Ag1000®/acre total, spread over 3 applications.
10 gallons per acre post-harvest previous crop (untreated fields before hand)
10 gallons per acre at transplanting
10 gallons per acre 2 weeks after planting
2015 saw an almost 4% increase in yield and by the second year there was a 5.5% increase.

PUMPKIN
The trial consisted of two fields, one treated with Ag1000 and the other without. Soils were very high in salts and had issues with powdery mildew.
Treated fields received 40 gallons per acre of Ag1000® spread out over the growing season. Both fields were also treated with 20 gallons per acre of 16-8-3-4 with humate and calcium.
Applying Ag1000® to the pumpkins resulted in a 21% increase in 40ct. boxes per acre and an increase in organic matter from 0.5% to 1%.
ESP or the Exchangeable Sodium Percentage is used to classify saline or alkali soils. When ESP exceeds 15% you generally see crusting and reduced infiltration. In this trial, treated fields saw a significant decrees in ESP.

For most field crops, we recommend 60 gallons of Ag1000® per acre per year spread over applications throughout the year, generally at each irrigation.
40 Gallons/acre/year in the Soil
20 Gallons/acre/year as a Foliar
Foliar spray should be applied in the morning or evenings. Conventional farmers can use Ag1000® with most of their programs. Do not mix synthetic chemicals with the microbes in concentrated, non-diluted, form. Many pesticides, such as Round-Up are antibiotic in nature and kill all the microbes within seconds of mixing. Therefore, if pesticides are to be used, please wait at least 48 hours between applications of pesticide and Ag1000®.
