EM Technology® can be used on solid waste, such as landfills and disaster cleanup by controlling odor and increasing compaction rates. The beneficial microbes in Wt1000™ have antibiotic properties that can decrease the presence of pathogenic microbes. The microbes also help grow the population of local beneficial microorganisms by being a food source, this increases the decomposition of the organic matter.
With regular use, the methanogenic groups of microbes will be suppressed and methane gas will not be produced. This will lead to a better environment for employees and neighboring communities.

TRIAL INFORMATION:

- 20.8 hectares of land and 1,000 tons of garbage/day
- Trial Period: 5 Months
PROBLEMS:
- People living nearby have made numerous complaints about foul odor
- Lots of flies on the fresh garbage
- Nothing was suppressing odors
APPLICATION:
- 10,000 L of Activated EM-1® applied 2 times a day in the morning and afternoon.
- Activated EM-1® was sprayed on fresh garbage from a water tank truck.
- 500 kg of EM Bokashi was added to the pond water used for spraying piles for additional application.
RESULTS:
- 70% of the foul odors was suppressed within 30 minutes.
- Flies were reduced significantly because of the reduced odor.
APPLICATION METHODS
WATER TRUCK APPLICATION
Mix 100 gallons Wt1000™ in 5,000 gallons of water in a water truck (1:50 ratio) which is normally used for dust control and compaction.
ODOR CONTROL
Spray same 1:50 ratio of Wt1000™ on any surface to immediately knock out odors. This can be used on dumpsters, transfer stations, or areas where odors are a nuisance.
